Tickets are $65.00, include a trip there and back, and discounted tickets, take a look below to see what Stratford is saying about their shows:
West Side Story:
Two rival gangs, the Jets and the Sharks, wage a turf war in the mean streets of New York City. But when Tony, best friend of Jets leader Riff, falls in love with Maria, the sister of Sharks leader Bernardo, simmering tensions escalate toward a shocking finale.
With its explosive dance numbers and unforgettable score, this modern-day retelling of Romeo and Juliet changed the face of the American musical.
The Importance of Being Earnest
Dashing men-about-town John Worthing and Algernon Moncrieff pursue fair ladies Gwendolen Fairfax and Cecily Cardew. Matters are complicated by the imaginary characters invented by both men to cover their on-the-sly activities – not to mention the disapproval of Gwendolen’s mother, the formidable Lady Bracknell.
One of the funniest comedies in the English language – and a critique of the conventions and hypocrisies of so-called polite society that remains stingingly pertinent even today.
Allende Festival
The Salvador Allende Arts Festival for Peace, which was founded to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the military coup in Chile on Sept. 11, 1973, is taking place in Toronto from September 11th – October 3rd at the Wychwood Barns, 601 Christie Street.
More information can be found here: http://www.allendefestival.com/
I would encourage everyone to get out and visit, both to support artists driving for social change, and also to see the Wychwood Barns, a new arts space in Toronto.
